The composition reinterprets the chypre theme of the original, playing around the note of neroli, the white flower of the Mediterranean. The scent of the chypre-neroli heart is created by the perfumer Julie Masse.

Blanchett, who is rehearsing for a play with Isabelle Huppert at the Sydney Theatre Company, will be the face of an advertising campaign for a new Eau de perfume called ‘Si’ that will hit shelves at the end of the summer. The confirmation comes after weeks of unsubstantiated buzz following press reports about a fragrance collaboration between the actress and Giorgio Armani, who have a long-standing professional relationship. Idôle is a modern musky chypre floral fragrance, created by three female perfumers: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina and Nadège Le Garlantezec. “Denser” and more affluent than the original, Si Intense is described as a modern chypre fragrance. It opens with accords of cassis and black currant heart extract. There are also fresh notes of mandarin and bergamot with a silky touch of freesia.
